Fellas im new to the larger scale petrol vehicles, I recently purchased a almost new...used Firehammer MT and also picked up a DDM Dominator pipe, I installed the DDM without ever trying the stock pipe and this thing runs great Im very satisfied with it but I noticed that there is a small amount of black oil coming from the pipe tip almost like a nitro engine. Is this normal or am I too rich? keep in mind it's running great, low end and high end. I am using hpi 2-cycle oil 25 to 1 and 91 octane fuel. .

most the exhaust flanges on all pipe. my not be totally flat. if its not, you may have a bit of oil seep thru the thin openings. basically its fairly normal to have a smidge of an oil mess. you can try to take a file and put a FLAT face on the mating surface and it should help seal up. also check your exhausts bolts as they may be getting a tad loose and need to be retightened.

It's actually coming from the exhaust tip and kinda spitting out a little like nitro engines do when you run them rich, no leaks where the exhaust bolts up to the engine.

ok thats fairly normal, it does mean you have enough oil in the mix ratio, and you SHOULD be able to go to a slightly leaner ratio. i was running 25:1 and also had some drip from the end of the pipe, now im running 32:1 (same oil) and its not as bad.

Oil from the MT pipe is normal and can be controlled by making a plug.
Take a 5/8" auto tube and cut it to a size that will securely push onto the end of the pipe. Shove a 1/2" copper cap for plumbing in one end. This will help control the oil mess when storing it.

That's awesome!
