After a lot of research I figured out what brand the buggy was. It’s not a smartech but an xrc rc2. Unlike the smartech this one has parts that i can obtain through eBay or Nitrotek.
There are a few parts from the FG’s that will fit on the xrc. Currently my biggest problem is getting the throttle assembly for it.

A 1:10 or 1:8th scale servo will fit. Then I use 2x500mm metal rods and bend them how I want👍

Edit: make sure 500mm will be long enough though

The previous owner of my xrc rc2, that i'm currently fixing up too, used bike wheel spokes for the throttle/brake linkage (and the brass insert from terminal/choc blocks to screw them together.) the site Nemhobby (hobby shop in greece i presume) has a fairly good stock of parts for these, i was able to get a lot of what i needed for them but there are a lot of parts, that i couldn't find or were out of stock everywhere, that i had to just repair/recondition or outright remanufacture myself to get my car here working again.
