Petrol AND Electric hybrid combos

Hi all,
I’m new here and I am going to run both gas and electric in a 5th scale.
Has any anyone done this?? I’m sure someone has but I can’t seem to find anything on it.
Any pictures would be awesome too.

What's the point? Power of electric and the engine is just for show, noise, and smoke? Or does the engine turn a generator that then powers the electric drive motors...like a train

Having reverse would be a nice feature of making a hybrid. I've thought about doing it to my 5iveT or Savage just for reverse.
