Thought I'd make a thread about our shooters. I don't have as many as I'd like, so hoping we can have a good thread for people's thoughts and opinions.

I'd like to keep this a very honest thread, as in speak your mind about guns you like or don't like and why.

Anyways, I'll start it off. Just got a liberty 50 gun safe and it's far from full. Looking at adding a ar10 or another ar15 from Springfield Called the saint. Local ffl had one and I really liked it. It's a ar pistol which is something I have wanted for a bit.

Managed to get all 800 pounds of it in my basement with no damage to it or the house ?

How do you like those tika rifles? Accuracy, shooting, balance how is it? Couple local ffl dealers have some real nice ones but really cant take their word for anything when they are throwing a constance sales pitch

Too lazy to dig them out. marlin 30as 30-30, and a H&R single shot .243
don't really have a favorite per say. I like shooting the 338 mag best of the magnum calibers I have. I'd ditch the mosin nagant if it was worth anything. Missed a deer with it. Hasn't left the safe since. The sks is good fun. Cheap to shoot. I have a few more laying around, as well as some hand guns, mainly glocks and a few rugers. Should be adding a WW2 german mauser here shortly. Has a bit of family history to it, it's in rough shape.

It's a tack driver out of the box. Very light. Actually wish it was a bit heavier. I installed the mountain tactical bottom metal, so it accepts AICS mags. The trigger is dreamy. About 2.5 lbs from the factory and breaks like glass. The bolt works fairly smooth. I have to tweak the feed lips on the mags yet, first round needs a good "push" on the bolt, the rest feed like butter. I would buy it again, I went to the shop and was set on a remington 700 in 300wm. My buddy works there and took me out back to the range and we shot it, then he handed me his tikka. Same federal 180gr bsp ammo. The tikka just handed the remington its ass, in the accuracy department. He had Leopold 4-12x44 scopes on both rifles. The tikka does kick a good bit harder being so light, but I think I'll appreciate that when I'm back, deep in the woods.
Damn Sean? Prepping for something?
Nope, I like options.

Factory was a flush fitting 2 rd mag. Didnt care for that.

I'm not prepping for Jack lol. I like a variety normally I rotate through my hunting rifles. Kill a deer, it goes in the safe until its next rotation. I was getting into 3 gun, then I had my daughter, I also shoot trap and skeet. Doubles is a little rough with a pump action. Some of them were inherited. And I'm a firm believer in not getting rid of a family gun. A few of them date back to the early 1900s. More then one helped feed family members through tough times. So I guess I'm as much of a collector, as I am for practical uses.

Exactly what I wanted to know. Next on my list hopefully this week is a springfield saint, 5.56. Want it in a .308 but they don't have one and unknown lead time with almost all manufacturers right now. Going to put a vortex spark on it or a sig red dot, haven't decided quite yet.

I have a vortex spark ar on the .223 wylde. I like it good enough. Really like that it takes AAA batteries. The sig romeo series is right on par imo.
The back log on guns and ammo, is really getting annoying. My bil just joined the police academy, he wanted a sig p320. Had to get the lgs to order it off another dealer. What a pain...

anybody have a MACHINE GUN or are they just long rifles now ? just curious ?

Full size Uzi 9mm suppressed.

I have not had to step foot in a gun store for over a year, I am WELL stocked with reloading supplies and ammo. I buy all my stuff during the calm times, not during the stupid gun panics like we currently have. I'm hearing that people are lining up in the gun store parking lots 45 min prior to opening in hopes of being able to buy a friggin box of 9mm ammo !

We don't have that here luckily. Certain Amos are tough to come by but not terrible.

I checked one out and I liked it. They had a sig right under it I wanted to look at to but had to go before I could check it out.
