Hi all!
Would like some info since I don't know to much about 1/5 scale
I'm thinking about getting a MCD XR5/XS5 or a DUOX and making it electric.
For esc+motor was looking at the new MAX5 combo G2 but don't know what KV to choose... is the 800 one ok?
And what you guys think about running time would be on 8s 7000-8000mah batteries?.. 20-30min?

Run time depends on where you run. 15-20 min. You have open streets or parking lots? The 800 will be fine.

I had an rr5 with an 800kv max 4 and it was perfect. I’d have serious concerns about putting one in a duox though. They don’t seem well suited for big power like that

Go with an XR5/XS5... duox is meant for racing on a prepped track. Being 2wd it will not be fun to drive with a powerful brushless setup as a "street basher" but I guarantee you will have a blast with the XR5/XS5 if you can keep the tires on the wheels

For 8s 1100kv would be good, 800kv isn't bad either just not as fast. How fast do you want it to be?

Am looking for parking lot fun, not top speed runs... and also have a track 20 miles away
