Hi Guys,

I just recently bought a new remote control so I needed to change my original Redcat Rampage Receiver with a Futaba Receiver so I needed to unplug the wires from the original one and plugged it to my new Futaba receiver. I know how to unplug the 1st, 2nd and 3rd (kill switch) channel from my older receiver and plug it again to my new one. Furthermore, there was one other plug I needed to connected to my new Futaba receiver and it was also the one that goes to the switch on/off, I think!!

My question is I don't know where to connect the plug on the Futaba receiver but I know it is between the last two spot on the Futaba receiver called B/C & RS232C. The same wires was plugged on my original redcat rampage receiver at the spot named VCC. Below, I added two pictures, one of my original red at rampage receiver and the other one is my new Futaba receiver.

Thanks in advance, :)

Yannik

Ps: (Left Picture): The white arrow show the area where the plug was connected on the Redcat Rampage Receiver and (Right Picture): The white arrow show the two potential spot where the plug need to be connected on the Futaba receiver (that is my question?)

Thanks jtphilips23! Are you 100% sure? hehe. What would be this plug? is for the switch on/off like I taught it was??
"B/C" stands for "Battery Connector".

Anyway, don't your new radio have a User Manual? This information is in there.

If you bought it used, you can always download the manual on Futaba's web site ;)

Plug (female) I can't identify in the receiver box??There is another plug (female) I found yesterday after opening the receiver box and working in it, I could not figured out what purpose this plug was for or what needed to be connected to the female plug so I would appreciate if someone could help me identify this plug which isn't connected to anything??Thanks again in advance,YannikPs: I truly appreciate all the help I received, thank you!View attachment 5198

No problem. I've been into fifth scales for a year and a half. Got four of them and I'm still learning stuff. The best way to learn is on these forums. Glad I could help.

You upgraded your battery, correct? That plug will only work with the stock battery. If the Futaba system came with a switch, use that one.

I upgraded my battery but I didn't received any switch althrough with my new remote control, I received a Futaba receiver, a module and a switch. I insetalled all these components except the switch which look very similar to the one already installed. Do you think I should changed the switch??

What does the female plug on the Futaba switch look like? If it's a 3 pin connector, use it. It'll save you some trouble. The male plug on the battery goes to the female plug on the switch. The upgraded battery probably has a 3 pin connector, which will not work with a 2 pin connector, which is what the stock switch has.

Yannik, In order to use your upgraded battery. The end on your on off switch will have to be changed. Or, you can change the switch to the one in your Futaba remote control and receiver. I changed my switch when I upgraded my battery. It is MUCH easier to change the switch than the plug on the on off switch.

Hi again,

I want to thank both of you Deluge and revolutionary rampage for the advice you gave me, it helped big time! Honestly, I have almost zero mechanical skills so without you guys and your knowledge & experience with these fifth scale truck, it would be a total nightmare trying to figure out everything about this awesone hobby. It is very cool because I can now share this knowledge with friends up here...I mean New-Brunswick, Canada!! :D :D :D

Question related to oil: Bel Ray" H1R full synthetic

Hi Guys,

I have two questions I would really appreciate some answers!

1) I just bought some new oil called: "Bel Ray" H1R Full Synthetic for my Rampage MT but I'm not sure about the ratio when it comes to mix it with gas?

2) At the Link below, on the Oil Maintenance Page, when changing or cleaning the Oil Filter, it is recommended to apply a certain grease as showed on Photo #2 to the foam edge on side facing filter sleeve. Do You know what kind of thick grease is that?? I would really to know where I can get it. It makes a seal at the bottom so dirt won't get in!

Thanks in advance :)
