I sold my XT and IMMEDIATELY ordered an MT. I will be taking it apart as soon as I get it for loctite,paint,etc. I see that some parts are in need of tempering. Please provide a list of ALL parts that should be tempered. Thanks!!!
 
i've broke both rear diff cups... they are holding up fine now after tempering. but they are eazyer to get out after u break them ...thats for sure lol. the lube in the diff is a real sticky goo.
 
In the Diff itself I put 10k silicone in the rear, and used bearing grease on the pinion gear.

I'm running rear drive only and the 10k is nice.

I put in 500,000 wt into the center diff on another type of car several days ago. This silicones viscosity was thicker than automotive goop. almost locked up, but still has a sorta cushon for drivetrain shock. In cold weather? suppose i could put the thing in the freezer and not wait for winter - lol!
