My Previous try at an RC trailer failed (link below) so i did a little more research and came up with this. It is a QuitKat bicycle trailer that is supposed to haul 100lbs so up to the task for (1) RC, fuel, batteries etc.

QuitKat Trailer Build Info

** Excuse the mess. I am building and reorganizing the garage so a small tornado came through.

I will be going to the desert over the holidays and wanted to bring one or more of my RC’s. A lot of killer places to run an RC can only be accessed via a motorcycle. So, this is “Test” and if It works well enough, I can also use it at home locally to go to Parks and valleys that I can run a 1/5 scale RC.

Because this is a “test” I just used a scrap piece of 3/4” plywood for the top platform.

To give a bit of strength I added a scrap piece of 3mm Aluminum plate.

For the quick-change mount from my previous homemade RC Work Stands I bought a 1” Floor Flange, 1” to ¾” adapter and bored out the adapter to accept a male portion of the Axis RC Swivel and Hitch Pin. I took the other male Axis RC Swivel that normally accepts the Top Plate and drilled a new hole for the hitch pin. This allows any Axis RC Top Plate to be used and in my case this is for the Losi 5T 1.0/2.0, Kraken Vekta(s) and Kraken Vesla(s).

As you can see, the black aluminum plate there are an additional 6 holes drilled. This trailer will only hold 1 RC at a time. The quick-change mount when in the center works for the Losi 5T 1.0/2.0 and Kraken Vesla(s). The Kraken Vekta(s) have a different mount for the chassis type so in order to have a Kraken Vekta center on the piece of wood you need to move the mount forward.

To mount the plywood to the trailer I went simple and cheap. Everything was left over from house projects etc. In the front, i used 1/2 “ EMT Pipe clamps with hitch pins. In the back to access the milk crates, I used 3/4 “ EMT Pipe clamps and 1” PVC pipe to make a hinge.

Inside of the QuitKat Trailer I used two of my milk crates from my previously failed trailer build. They can be used for batteries Transmitter cases, Tires and ?? whatever else.

For fuel I mounted one of my RotoPax 1gln jugs on the luggage rack. I’m not sure how long a gallon of fuel lasts but likely longer than I can concentrate controlling a 1/5 scale RC.

The Yamaha TW200 is about a fast as bicycle so the wheel should be fine. If it doesn't work out i have a spare 18" rear wheel from my Honda XR400.
