Well today I finally got a chance to take my Mc out and run her wide open. I have 2 friends who just moved into their first home and it just so happens to be on a little over an acre. It is perfect for running RC's- especially 1/5.

The MT performed fantastic. The only time I had her die on me was when I ran out of gas (completely forgot to top her off before I started running). My buddy that lives out here ran her for about 5 minutes and he really gave her hell and she never skipped a beat. He actually used to race RC's with his dad back in high school so he is much better at driving them than I am, so he was able to really open her up without risk of running into something.

Anyway, the purpose of the post was to declare that I have officially been bitten by the RC bug. I am wanting to do upgrades so badly on the MT, and I am also really wanting to buy my second RC. I want to get something smaller that I can run in places that my MT just cannot go due to its size.

What do you guys think about the 1/10 and 1/8 scale Redcats like the volcano, caldera, avalanche, and earthquake? I really like how Traxxas does their 1/10 scale and I love HPI's 1/8 scale but the Redcats are so much more affordable. I just didn't know if they were up to par with the 1/5 scale that Redcat produces.

Any thoughts on this?

I feel your joy... I was able to get some run time in with the xb today also...I keep a frankenstien modified ECX 1/10 on hand to bash at the house so johny law is'nt looking for a dirtbike that some old foggie reports going past their house at 40mph lol. All in all I enjoy the 1/10 for its versatility and Db ratings.

Yeah I actually looked at the Terremoto right after I bought my MT and it looks freaking awesome.

I really want something a little smaller to play around with at work and I would love to do something nitro so I don't have to worry about running out of battery. The electric ones do seem like a lot of fun though, and would be a lot easier to maintain than a nitro powered. I'm torn. Maybe I can get an electric and a nitro so I won't have to choose between the two. :)

The twister xtg pro looks pretty fun. Brushless, and 2wd so it's ready to do some donuts. The one thing I don't like about the MT being 4wd is it doesn't like to do donuts but it's not really a platform that is meant to do something like donuts.

Hum.... Both of mine do doughnuts just fine. You just got to get it in the upper rpms before cutting into one. :)

My problem may be that I haven't ran on any soft dirt or sand. I have only ran my MT on pavement and grass and on these 2 surfaces it does not like to turn. It fights me and wants to stay straight. This is also after upgrading my steering servo to a Hitec.

I wonder why mine doesn't like to. On the pavement it fights me on turning. Although I haven't tried it on very smooth pavement. Our parking lot at work is pretty rough because the owner refuses to have it re-done.

Also it may be the fact that I don't have a chance to get a lot of speed because it's a mercedes dealer and I don't want to smack into one of their overpriced cars. Haha

Try to tighten up the steering servo saver, also a 5000 mah battery helps.
