After a month or so of use with the Rigid i built i saw Crucial RC DIY Stand and had to build one for my incoming Velsa as the Rocket stand is two income brackets away. I found a deal for Qty (2) 5Core Speaker Stands, bought (2) of the Axis rocket stand swivels, (2) 1" Pipe Flanges and (2) 1" to 3/4" Adapters. In order for the Axis swivel post that normally goes into an Axis top plate i had to grind away the internal threads of the adapter, drilled a hole for a bolt to hold it all together.
For the top plate I have plenty of aluminum and steel plate left over from other hobbies projects and will duplicate my tool pan from the Rigid stand but that is as far as i got with this stand.
I will be building one for my Vesla and one for my Losi 5T.
