Is there a rechargeable batter pack available for the Fly Sky fs gt3b (transmitter that comes with KM 0002 from Dan) ?

If not, I would imagine one can use AA rechargeables and just charge in the transmitter using the charge port. However, mine didn't come with a charging adapter. Did anyones?

mine didnt, you were supposed to alky batts. i really wouldnt reccommend rechargers, the voltage ona regular recharge batt is only 1.2 volts a standard alky batt is 1.5, so running rechargers you wont have full volt potential. now then if you get ya a 4pks like i did, i replaced its batt with a 1900 mah LiFe batt.

the mah of those is great but the voltage of each battery itself is kinda what i was refering too. now i use li-ion batts in my lightsabers, and those are rechargeables, BUT, they run at 3.7 volts each battery. the thing i have dounts on tho is the regular type rechargers, and what volts each one puts out, they may be different now than in past, but the ones i always seen were only 1.2 volts, a difference of .3 volts per battery, so if ya need lets say 8 for the radio, and they ARE 1.2 volts each, and if regular batts are 1.5 volts each, well you can figure out theres a definate voltage difference between the sets. if it works like ya say then thats great, just seems to me your not getting the total volts the radio is made for, regardless of mah runtimes

Ok cool i will take your word for it I am really not into the technical end of it so really I have know clue on what you just said but I do know this that when they are full charged the radio says 11.8V and it works great and last a long time in between charges. I have never used li-ion batteries so maybe the volts will go higher I am not sure but for me I have had no problems with the power I think.

lol maybe theyre different nowadays. this is the batteries i use in the lightsabers i build

and this is a line i copied off a battery list it says the standard alky batts are 1.5 volts, and nimh rechargers are 1.2 volts

(These are all single-cell round batteries with height greater than their diameter. In zinc-carbon or alkaline types they produce around 1.5 volts per cell when fresh. Other types produce other voltages per cell (as low as 1.2 volts for rechargeable nickel-cadmium)

not arguing with ya on any of it, just tryin to provide a lil better info so you understand what i was talkin bout above. hope it might have made it better understandable.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to likely put aside a little money here and there and just go for a better radio so I can run a killer bee.

Ok cool thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yup i build them. i got like 7 or 8 i built using original graflex and heiland flash handles used to make lukes and Vaders, to customs made with screw together alloy t-6 aircraft alluminum. and yes thats me in my Vader costume
vader.webp photos not photoshopped in blades, your seeing it as it really is. a real graflex flash handle used on left saber, one on right is a MR force FX mace windu, i did a luxeon convert to with a royal blue led, not purple anymore

this is a custom with a 240 lumen white led using a amber lee filter to get the amber color, the wifes lightsaber.

this is my Jedi saber, a lux 5 green custom made saber i built, its so bright it lights up a 20 foot radius in the dark
IMG_0739.webp
and my own interpretation of a darth maul saber, mine breaks apart in midddle and can be endcapped on each half, so you have 2 sabers, was at a con with this saber and this kid holding my saber was thrilled and wanted his pic taken with it. its broad daylight so red is a lil washed out in this bright lighting.

hey i don't care what the mod's say i like em:D

thanks for liking them, on the leds, the luxeon leds are mounted in the handles themselves, the blades are 1" OD poly carb, with a poly carb round or pointed tip glued in place with weldon #3, if done corectly, they will not come off. inside the hollow poly carb is a white diffuser tube, really thin but diffuses the light. underside of tip has a reflective piece like thin self stick alluminum or whatever it is, its kinda metal like almost like alluminum foilbut a lil tuffer. the led light shines up hits the reflecticve disk bounces back down, etc.. you get the idea, light waves bouncing around type thing. blades are totally removeable, so i can hang the hilts on the belt, pull them off pop in blade tighten down thumbscrew that locks blades in place. all my sabers are fully hardcore duelable, until you break the blades, and these poly carb blades are nearly unbreakable, they will break, but they take alot, i had one blade i used to duel with for 6 years till i finally broke it.

thanks
glad ya like them. on costumes i also have a stormtrooper too. the Vader got me in the 501st Vaders Fist and then i did the trooper up, as a 2ndary entry. i used luxeon led to replace the stock crap leds in barrel, and a frien made me a special trigger board that wired up to old led output wires and a seperate batt source(those trustfires above) hidden in scope. so i have sound and a impressive led burst that looks realistic

Thanks guys.

I'm going to likely put aside a little money here and there and just go for a better radio so I can run a killer bee.

According to Killer RC's website their Killer Bee is compatible with the Flysky radio. Also, personally I don't like running AA's in my radio, I am likely going to go LiPo, I believe you can get a 12.6V pack, in which case I will simply run a 12v regulator. Simple enough solution and no more dealing with AA's.

What I did with mine is use a 3s lipo. Works great and I got a cheap 2200mah I've used it for months and still haven't recharged it yet. Although I do have mine hacked and with the voltage regulator from overkillrc.com
