Whats the best way to remove the rose joint balls from my old set & put them into my new set?, i know theres a tool knocking around that can be used, but i don't have it & i want to get them on there tomorrow ready for sunday!

ty guys ;)

Use a small enough screwdriver that will allow you to put pressure on the ball and press it over a small enough socket that the joint will be pressed and the ball pressed into the socket. The screwdriver will go through the ratchet hole in the bottom of the socket.:online2long:

ah i see what you mean, will give that a go ta m8 ;)

well, tried that, i got it out in the end, but when i tried to put back into one of my new rose joints... no chance! :( so after more struggling, just about managed to put back into my old joint

Think im gunna pick up a tool to do it, are they all similar or do i need a certain one so it fits?

Sorry, forgot about the put it back tool.. A pliers, the type you can adjust.. Use a flat type if you have one that way you wont mark up the plastic joint. Squeeze it slightly off centered until it starts to pop in, then it will fall into place with ease.

just had a gander, seen this but no idea about the size, all i know is the ball joints i have for my FG are M8 size, thats all it says :s ?

ive had an idea, gunna pick up a cheap clamp tomorrow then fix summit up ive thought of, it should work! ..will let you know ^^

i use a pair of slip jaw pliers to pop the swival balls in/out.
then a proper size wrench to hold the tie rod, and a screwdriver thru the ball(or ball end before ball in installed) to turn the ends on off.
