Ok... I'm considering buying a new HPI baja 5b. I'm about scale looks as much as performance, to a degree. In it's stock configuration there really aren't any tuned pipes I like the looks of, wether its rear or side mount. I especially don't care for side mounts if I can see them hanging outside the body and chassis.

This brings me to the question...has anyone tried the dual exhaust that rovan makes for these? Did it improve performance over the stock can? Or compared to an X can? Is there a "better" manufacturer of a similar setup? I completely understand that a true expansion chamber makes the most power but, unless I were to buy and install the Kraken sand car kit on it, so I can hide a side pipe under the body, I'm not putting a big ugly expansion chamber on it.

I have no input in power, but I use this pipe, I really like the sound. They aren't as loud as the stock pipe or even the square metal mufflers. I find they give a deeper tone. I know with an ESP top end, it works really good.

Good to know. Thank you for the reply. I think they look awesome and they do sound good in the vids on YouTube. I'm not a fan of the obnoxious unlicensed expansion chambers anymore. My TLR 5ive B has a silenced VRC pipe. Its not super loud .

I prefer big rorty pipes that upset the neighbours like the guy with the petrol leaf blower at 8am when I have just finished 12 hour nights.
Like to blip the throttle on the stand constantly for a few hours.
