Can anyone tell me if they have ran sand paddles without foam inserts Iwas told you get better traction is this true.:helpsmilie:

I've never heard that one. I would be concerned about the tire flexing and getting cut by the rim.

i think a few of the Aussie guys tried this out. im sure one of them will chime in when they see the thread.

i don't remember how they said it worked out.

i wouldn't think that would be the case. on a full size sand rail, you actually run with about 20 psi(max tire pressure) for optimal traction. so if anything i would probably over stuff them and make them a little stiffer.

i would think that you would, but you would prolly have bigger problems afterwards... i would just trim down the foam inserts instead, and then you would get better forming to the ground, therefore better traction at dunes...
