Scale baja bug roof rack

So I am looking at making or buying a scale roof rack for my bug body. If you know if a place to purchase one that's awesome.

But I am guessing I will have to fabricate one I was thinking of copper tubing or brass tubing. It would be much easier to bend over steel.

I am concerned over making the bad boy top heavy and also the stress on the body if I roll. Anyone have any recommendations or examples of people who have pulled this off?

If you do roll in it...... you will ither have a bent roof rack or hole in you shell :lol:

I think it would wreck the roof also. and the proline bug body is $$$.. but you can get the nutech body for almost 99 less

I put the proline 5t rat body on my nutech and it fit perfectly, the bug body is a tad bigger then that..it should fit on the baja

Lol I figured it probably would rip off. That's why I was hoping there was a plastic one.

I run a KM 5t so you think that shell would work? Do they have a pickup truck one?

Hammerhead makes a 4 light roof rack, Protecta parts makes a 6 light roof rack.

And thos bad boys don't need heavy cutting? I didnt think the wheel base matched.

Also those racks are sweet, I was thinking of doing one that had a place to put a tire but after thinking about it that may be a tad ridiculous

this is the proline ratrod 5t truck body on my nutech (this was all cut out for my old baja 5b) all i did was bolt it too my nutech..
