Im thinking about building a scratch built shorty 5b. Not as short as the shortyQ, but I want to shorten it about 1.5" while keeping the tank in the chassis. Most of the older shorty chassis in the past were 1.75". Looks like if i go 1.5" I can still use my bzm bizetta side pipe. I have 4 bajas just never had a shorty. Should be a fun winter project. 🧐😏

Yeah they seem to wheely easily. Thats why i don't want to go quite as short. I just want to shorten it up an inch and and a half. Main goal is keeping side pipes still mountable. But yeah wheelies are the point but not too many wheelies.
Its gonna take alot of work cutting chassis down and getting the holes drilled precise. Im giving it a go. Got this chassis on the way to hack it up.

I like the shorty q . Put my chinese 32 reed case motor in mine now and high speed gearing .
Binned the single wheel wheely bar and put a twin wheel on it .
Comes up on the throttle nicely now , but is easy to control for turning .
Increasing the track with long arms helps lots.
