Here I go being stubborn but I took my airtronics 94780 and tested it and I belive and so does my hobby shop owner/ freind that it will be able to withstand the rampages steering.
 
it sounds like you are interested in giving it a shot. mounting up a bracket wouldnt be that hard. i don't know of any 5th scale model that uses smaller servos for the stearing. it has the torque to turn the wheels, but my theory is that the gears are just so tiny that they will easly stip off. the motor is also smaller in size so it might have centering issues. i have stripped metal gears and plastic gears are bound to strip eventually. give it a shot and let us know how it works.
