There are a lot of shocks for sale on face book right now the Losi 5 ones with all the people going to MIP ones I'd get them if it were me just because you can get parts for them
Also it takes fronts only to work on the DBXL the rears are to long and will bend the dog bones where they go in the front diff and the rear diff if you don't limit suspension travel
There is a kit out to to convert stock shock over to Oil from diff fulid it was on FB to
 
I have some plans to modify my stock shocks to work like losi 5ive shocks... i bought 80wt shock oil.... I'm gonna mix it together with the stock oil to bring the consistency down so the sprinandgs don't have to work so hard to bring the truck back up from full compression... then once that's done I'm going to adjust the compression rate by filling the huge holes in the pistons... if I get it to a great spot I will definitely share so everyone can try it... i also did a chassis flex mod that works great..

I saw this on another site and bought these off ebay. This might be the kit he was talking about. Allows the use of regular shock oil in the shocks. I have 30 weight in mine now(that's what I had laying around). Don't have any running videos yet though.

Yeah I also saw those on ebay... for the price I was very tempted to buy them.... i don't want to give up yet on the stock pistons... but if you can give us a close up video of the compressing and rebounding that would be awesome
 
I still don't have any running videos. I will try to get a vid of the compression and rebound tomorrow. I also picked up the the the DDM HD shock springs and have those on as well.
