I use fg 4000 in the front, and 3000 in the rears, handling is much better now compared to the factory oil.;)

Thank you sir.

I will put that goop in the shocks and test it out .

how did you set up your spring preload ?

How much sag on the susp. after you put her on the ground ?

Are the stock springs good or need of a change ?

Do these cars have problems with front axles ?

cheers

easy

Im running the gold springs (hard) currently on mine with no preload on the front, and about 5mm preload on the rear, car has no susp sag when put on the ground so is quite stiffly sprung.

The stock springs are ok, but i like a fairly firm set-up, so maybe you could go to a slightly thicker oil and use your current springs.

Ive never had any trouble with front axles although i did break a rear axle, but that was due to a huge crash.

good result

the oil worked out great

front 4000 rear 3000

Should I cover the shocks to prevent dirt from getting in ??

I put in an alloy breaking system to save some weight worked out good

I will post some pics .

Any other hints with these cars ??

Camber / Caster settings ?? Toes ??

thanks a million

Good to hear you got the shocks sorted mate

im running 2 degrees toe out on the front and 2 degrees toe in on rear

camber, 0 degrees on the front and 4 degrees negative on the rear thats with the suspension fully compressed to the floor.

Thats how i like mine set-up anyway, you might want to alter the settings to suit your driving style.

im seriously considering buying a front limited slip diff for mine, but you can fill the diff with thick oil or grease to get a similar effect.

Thank you sir

Sounds good to me I will try it next.

Is the 2 deg camber total or 2 per wheel meaning they are 4 deg ( 2 each side )

I love this thing lots of fun and winter driving will be a blast too .

Spikes coming up for ICE RACING .

How can I lower the car further than settings of the shock tower ?
To improve handling even more ?

Cheers,

Easy

Yeah the settings i gave you are for each side,

not too sure about how to lower the car further, maybe use some different shock towers

i would like to lower mine a bit more too.

thanks for all the help mate .

car looks nice and low enough for me when I lowered it .

I change the tower location shock position and its good now .

looks like a race car now

cheers

Pics coming soon .

I got the complete car down to 23 LBS or 10 .4 Kg . Jet pro pipe , motor , servos .

Its light for an MCD now .

I will get a lighter pipe soon

I made alloy driveshafts too , alloy brake discs, disc holders ,

Locked the diffs

I don t care about drifting the car but its got to handle good .

Should be good .

Can you pls tell me mate the weight of your car ( no gas in the tank ) no body .

just to see the diff

cheers

Pics of my new Rally car

What pipe are you running on your car ?

Was that weight with all servos, pipe , motor ?

Here are some pics of mine

Alloy driveshafts in Blue color look cool !!!!

Loud is good ,

mine is a baffled version love it mate.

which one do you prefer Samba or Jetpro ?

I am using smaller servos too NO PROBLEM but you got to use the 330 Oz ones .

they stronger than Hitec 5745 units much lighter too.
World cup soccer finally is on now .

cheers

I actually prefer the jetpro, i think it makes better mid/topend power, but not as much low end as the samba.

i might buy a silencer for the jetpro, as it makes some mental power

its just too loud without one, its a bit harsh on your ears.

im running the zen 4 bolt 29cc engine, its got loads of torque.:w00t:

That body looks awesome, i love the paint work mate.
