shock shaft???

I broke a front shock shaft on the MT and ordered a new one, part #50121, but its thicker and the threaded end isn't squared like my original one. Are there different versions of the shocks? Am I gonna have to buy a pair of shocks??
 
There are two versions. It looks like you might've been sent the 5mm version. Part #'s are 50121 and 50121N. 50121 is the 4mm version. 50121N is the 5mm version.
