My Red locktited grub screw came out of the brake hub (again)…really messed up my brakes this time…

I want to semi permanently attached the brake hub to the Center Pinion (with the bearing and carrier plate in place)

As I do not weld, am I wasting my time doing this by dropping Silver Solder down into the grub screw hole?

My thinking is it should be strong enough to not come loose unless re-heated again to about 900

Yes I also realize I could probably accomplish this by using a stupid amount of locktite but would still have to deal with the grub screw...

I’d rather just use the locktite on the grub that easiest to get at and re-tighten / check…

Is your center diff mount plastic or allum? [some plastics don't like loctite]

If red loctite isn't holding the screw, either it's stripped or a serious heat issue..?

Is the problem bad bearings or the square on the shaft worn?

Too much play/slop in the brakes will bind the drive shaft. [and create heat]

When setting the bake, the grub screw shouldn't be too loose on full throttle.

The plates, if too loose will bind...they need to be set kind of light at neutral.
