If you hit anything with any sort of speed I don't think either would be much use! I have the marder bumper on my 2wd's and the baja style bumper on my 4wd but from an aesthetics point of view I would choose the baja bumper.

i think the best bumpers for the front is the FG monster one as its nice & wide, in saying this though i fitted a Baja bumper to the front of my MB pro as it looks sweet! but im gunna buy a new monster bumper soon as i prefer the protection

I have a steel 'Monster' bumper on my 18Kg MT.
Bends very easily on any impact above walking pace.

Aesthetics (looks) - GREAT.
Taking a knock without problem - forget it!!
