Well I am looking to upgrade my steering setup because I believe my stock servos have served me well but are about to bite the bullet. I have read posts on here about dual servo setups and single servo set ups. I didn't find it and it just might be my lack of research but I haven't seen anyone say whether one setup is better than the other. Or if there is advantages and disadvantages to either setup. So I guess this is open for discussion, comments, opinions, anything really... Thanks guys

One advantage to single is cost. Dual is stronger. I left mine dual, but single will get the job done also. I see lots of 5ive guys are converting from single to a dual set up. You can start out with a single, and if it's not to your liking you can always add another servo.

I am running a Rampage MT with the big stock tires and wheels I went with a single hitec 5805mg been running it about a month have not had a problem and turns 100 times better than the stock dual servos

I have a v3 and its already got the dual servo setup. If I go the single servo route do i have to buy the single servo saver setup for the v2? Or can i just eliminated the one servo and be done?

As per Deluge mine is a V3 also I am using the same servo saver just had to tighten it up, the only other thing you will need is the futaba style servo mount part#50010 makes it real easy to mount the servo plus its aluminum and stronger

Single servo all day. Far more efficient than a dual servo setup and a lot easier to maintain.
Took this guys advise and I love it. I ran the big stock tires and now I'm running smaller ones. 10x better then stock all around.

+1

not to mention the increase run times youll get out your battry.

i only run 1 servo at a time, but i have both fitted, then if one dies i can just plug in the other and reattach the linkage
