I haven't done much in the way of Oxy Actetelene or Brazing but I have Tig welded for quite a few years, If you want to Braze your going to need a torch and some brazing rod. Check out your local welding supply and ask them or you might even want to check out a local welding shop and just have them repair your frame? If you have never brazed before I doubt that your going to want to use your frame for practice. The first time I saw someone Tig weld I thought to myself Iv'e got to get one of those power supplies! The guy made it look so easy, found out later that he a certified welder in the aviation industry.. And I was in for one heck of a learning curve... LOL. Have your local welding shop repair your frame, if you want to learn how to braze fine, pick up a set of torchs and practice on some 5mm thick aluminum, might want to find what type of aluminum Losi uses for their frames to? It varies from 4000 to 7000 series... You will need to remove the anodized coating from the frame where you want to repair, if it's a small area just use a high speed grinder, I use fairly strong acid to make sure I remove the oxide coating off the alum. too. Once you have done this you need to be pretty quick on the repair as the oxide layer will reform on alum. This oxide layer helps protect alum. the down side is it's melting point is twice as high as aluminum. Doesn't make for a very pretty weld... (:

Good Luck
Pete

Allstate 11 FC brazing rod works very well with an oxy / acel unit with a 0 tip. I use this on 3/8 od thin wall 4130 tubing for all of my frames. I've had some bad crashes that bent the frames but no brazing joint failures.

Hi try this rod, it does work good i use them for odd jobs. You can get them off ebay.com
