Figured I'd post up some of my current and previous FG road cars. (C-291 is on a old EVO 04 chassis, the 190E & C Class on an origanal German made Sportsline from the 90s) Both have OBR 29cc engines

Been spending some considerable time on this site doing homework for my next purschase which will be a buggy, as I'm looking for something to use over the winter on grass, snow etc. Down to a Losi DBXL or Kraken Vetka

Past ones I've owned. Kicking myself for selling two 465mm chassis, one a Sportsline, the other an EVO.

dam.. o_O ..there as nice as each other.....few quids worth there?
dbxl or a vekta...?....both have isssues out the box...as every rc does.?..imo the vekta will need more £££ chucked at it in the long run..?....id go db...?

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I'm an old fart but still, enjoy my toys.

As for the DBXL & Vekta.....

I'm leaning towards the DBXL. Seems easier to work on, more upgrade options and fairly less expensive. I say “fairly” as I’d replace the engine with an OBR 29cc, silenced pipe and beefed up drivetrain even before using it. That puts me around the 1700-1900k USD mark.

The Vekta AMRTR from DDM with their with 5% discount is $1686 USD, add a radio/receiver for (I like the Futaba 3pv) 150ish you’re at 1800+, but this comes with a stock 32cc Zenoah.

DDM also has the AMRTR without engine for $1425, ad a DDM 36cc full mod for $400, radio your around 2k

Then there the option of just buying the LSE kit fooling myself into thinking I’m spending less. But in the long wrong it will cost more than the two options above. Plus, not sure I want to build this thing from scratch.

Decisions Decisions

Here 's another one in my collection. A vintage Yankee Concepts F1 car. Picked it up in rough shape from a guy over at Quarter Scale Legends.

Replaced the metal floor with a sheet of carbon fiber with aluminum skid plate, new engine, body etc.

*Shameless plug, It's on the market if anyone is interested. Can be found on Quarter Scale Legends and Ebay.

I think my Yankee F1 is the only one sale on eBay right now? I could be wrong. Funds from that will be going into this DBXL or Vetka purchase
