Spark Plug for the 30.5?

The number is vaguely similar to nitro engines - with COLD, MEDIUM and HOT plugs, selected according to ambient conditions.
It doesn't appear to be as critical as with nitro engines - if your engine's normal plug is a medium-hot, and it's running hot, but the fuel's right, you drop to a medium.
I forget which way around it is, I think the 6 is cooler than the 7, but I may have it the wrong way around.
Whatever, almost everyone seems to default to the '7'.

Run the 7. Typically you would drop to the next colder heat range only if you were adding nitrous, running a turbo or using a super charger. NGK says to drop 1 heat range for every 75-100hp you add to the modified engine. I know we are talking alot less HP here and small engines, but stick with the stock recommended heat range, your engine will be plenty happy.
