Ive got a standard fg monster beetle and wondered if its worth upgrading to pro spec with the 8 shocks and side alloy plates ect, the car will be for more fun then performance as ive a leopard and sportline to race more with, anyone ever had problems with a normal monster beetle? ive heard single shocks with the monster wheels is not so good, any ideas chaps:)

hey mate! :)

each to there own, some prefer the 4 shock setup & others prefer the 8shock setup.

When i bought my MB Pro new the price difference between the MB & the MB Pro was little so i opted for the Pro version also for the fact i do like the look of having 2 shocks for each wheel :D

As for the rest of it, the alloy side guards & front roll cage will make the chassis more sturdy/rigid than the normal MB, but in saying this i have yet to read of anyone with the MB to have bent or damaged the chassis.

The alloy side guards are also good for keeping cr@p out the chassis if you throw a little perspex on them :)

Also you will notice that the sheel will sit about an inch or 2 higher on the Pro chassis compared to on the MB chassis, reaosn being is the front roll cage & the front shock tower is taller than the MB chassis which is based on the Marder.

The downside of the 8x shock setup is it cost me double to upgrade my shocks to alloy which ive just done.. i had to buy 8! instead of 4 lol :(

best bet dude hang on till weve met then you can see the Pro up close & you can see for yourself the difference & which you prefer :)

handling wise, providing the supsension is setup right, there is no difference :)

Cheers daz, I'll see how your looks and goes next week. Still feel like sh1t mate so won't be tomorrow I'm sorry to say as I can't wait to get them out, speak soon mate:)
