I had my rope snap a few times out when it was new. I think pull starts suck all around. Best to change out the pawl to alloy and get the cable rope upgrade by killer instead of rope.
 
Where can you get just the pawl? I can only find a full pull start assy. Thanks.
 
I had the spring pop off underneath everything the second time I tried to start it, took about 20 minutes to fix it, mainly cause I wanted it a little tighter then it was to begin with
 
Oh, perfect! I might look at that with my next daily deal purchase, and maybe the metal cable.
