Hi Does any one have instructions list for a swaybar kit for a Baja 1/5 5b
would be very helpful Thx

why would you use anti roll bars on an off road car? use them on a circuit car for sure but I've never known anyone race with them on an off road car as all they do is limit the travel.

Agree with this, many guys racing large scale run without sway bars for exactly that reason, it does make them a little more twitchy but with practice the car handles that little bit better.

My wheels don't stay planted with or without they don't do it for me!

Maybe in racing but as far as bashing they do fook all

You're right, Around our little track, I can tell the difference, around the fields and pits, I wouldnt even know if it was snapped in half.

I do know the rear is noticable everywhere., it makes traction blow.

I bet you wouldnt no if they did snap

and there not cheap to buy ither! as soon as i get them they get sold!

strange you guys don't like or use them. of course i cannot speak for large scales but i have been know to use them on 1/8 and smaller scales in the past o certain occasions. they do work but it takes alot of practice driving to get teh feel of it though

 try jumping with them! nothing happens

Thats right jared Thats the problem i found with no swaybay fitted the inside front wheel lifts going around corners which causes loss of traction and also if no diff lock is fitted, swaybar helps with control of the inside rear wheel spinning when sharp cornering, but does nothing for jumping... but overall gives you much better handling

If the wheels are lifting there is a good chance you don't have enough droop on your set up.

For those who don't know what droop is.....

press the front or rear of the car to the bench then allow it to settle, then lift the front of the car to the point where the wheels come off the bench and that is the droop. It's governed by the shock travel, the arms hitting the chassis and the "droop screws" (not just a catchy name).
You always have to compress your shocks "just enough" to get them onto the bolts to avoid and damage to the shock end or piston when the arms/shocks are at full extention.. When you lift the car,the wheels must both leave/touch the bench at the same time.
The rear is also governed by the driveshafts so don't over do it.

Basically, lots of droop is good (with regard to toy cars anyway lol)

Hope this helps

Mike

This has been very useful , no anti rollers for me then , I'm a newbie and a basher so pretty I cudnt tell the difference and I need enough practice to drive as it is hehhehe
