Ok guys thinking of getting the T100 FOR xmas. I see on here a lot of people say get your king motor from Dan of of ebay. What about Heat Hobby?

Also everyone say check the diff. fluid. What kind of oil do you put in it?
Also do you all recommend to change the Bearings or wait?

t1000

i've done biz with heat. good people to deal with. dan might have the best prices, so check around. the owners manual will tell you what weight oil to used in the diff. i prefer using silicon products. have fun with your new toy!

Dan is good to deal with.I bought a 001 buggy needing work but new in the box.just a carb adjustment ....and good to go...!!!!...I know nothing about heat hobby.but Dan is very helpful.

I have looked and I don't see any T1000 from Dan.
I see that a lot of people say pull start is not that good and diff oil could be very low.
I will be ordering a back up pull start just to have it over xmas, and also some diff fuild.
Is there any screws that I need to take out and lock tight. Also is there any Bearings that should be replaced right away?

Guys how is the shipping from Heat Hobbies. I would like to have thie for xmas do you think I can wait and order this on Dec 19?

It seems the KM quality is slowly going up, but I feel alot of issues with the pull starters may partially be user error. I have over 3 gallons on mine now and not a single problem with it. I always blow the grass and junk off the pull starter before I put the car away for the day/week.

ANY screw that goes into metal should have locktite on it. Blue locktite if it is a non high heat application. Red locktite if it is going into the engine (mounts/exhaust/carb)

Diff fluid is a consumable item in a gear type differential. Learn to love it, you are going to have to service the diff every couple of gallons. Use a good name brand fluid, I prefer Losi oil. Pick up 1000wt and 3000wt, see which you like best. 3000wt will keep the rear tires more locked up together in a corner, think posi traction. 1000wt will make the car rotate through a corner faster (best if you are racing on a track).

Pick up a pack of the large c-clips, you are going to need them. The ones on the front axles take alot of strain. Put the flat side TOWARDS the bearing when replacing them. They are the same size clip that holds the spur gear holder on.

best upgrade would be extended hubs it takes that c clip out and replaces it with a washer and hex head, flipped mine twice landed hard once to the one front tire and its still together with no problems beside me hitting a little wall at full tilt and braking my chassis but the tires never popped the c clips ... its a very nice little upgrade:D

i have the darksouls extenders, but only used the rear ones, with fronts on truck was so squirrely i couldnt control it, but i did upgrade to a 4pks radio, so i might slow the response down left and right and retry the extenders up front again.

Look I have delt with Dan several times he is a great guy to work with he helped me out several times. If he had a race team I would raec for him for nothing. He a good man look him up. Tell him Chester sent you.

truck

Yeah I have alot of issues with my truck also got a new motor and believe it or not I haven't run it yet because I am afraid of running it because there is always something wrong with it or breaking on me. I have ran my truck about 5 times and it has broken down or something broke everytime. If you know anyone with parts for sale please let me know

What truck do you have? And where did you buy it from?

well as i sed before no matter WHAT brand you get there will always be a lemon in there someplace. a friend has a hpi and he cant even run his 5 minutes before something breaks, mine, so far hasnt ever broke with exception of that sorry PS it had on it. and mines a km t1000.

a ways back i had heard the rovans quality wasnt as good as the KM, even tho theyre supposed to be pretty much the same, i don't know if thats true or not, but i chose KM. if i was rich, i would have got a HPI, but im not, i get what i can afford, and at 783 i got mine for off Dan, it left some upgrade room money wise to end up with a tuffer truck than a stock HPI would be.
