Who ever is responsible for allowing these 2 insert parts for the diff should be bashed...it's the only way they will learn.

I completed the rebuild and the diff is assembled and in the case and the amount of wobble at both the output cups is way too much.
also the diff floats in the case way too much and the bevel can separate mesh from the pinion and just begging to strip both gears.
the worst diff i have come across.

The amount of movement and tolerance between the diff bearing and the bearing inserts sucks.

I measured the lateral movement of the diff and there is 2mm and the crown gear moves away from the pinion gear and locks up.

Something is clearly wrong as the bearing isn't supposed to be showing if sitting in the insert correctly.

Personally, I'd get some MOD oversized bearing inserts.

However, I agree with Rep and Spents, something isn't assembled correctly. It appears the "short side" insert is backwards.
