Well this will be updated off and on when I get time. It seems there have been a ton of questions about the dbxl platform and as it happens I broke mine on my last outing over Easter. Long story short. Big problem plastic trans mount broke jamming the pinion and super gears together and ended up breaking the pinion bolt. So parts o got so far.

Vertigo clutch bell and pinion gear. Fid racing center diff mount. (As far as I know they are the only company currently making a trans/ center diff mount for a gas dbxl) when I started to tear down I noticed I had bad wear on the front and rear center drive shafts. This is "normal" and I'm about sick of it so I'll do a bit of research and see if I want to go with FLM, Hoonage, or ALN. Oh also blew out the shock seals on the right side ? and broke a sway bar link (another weak point) and looks like I'm due for some new CV boots.

Yeah like ive said in previous posts this is one of the earlier k&n dbxl models. I bought it used several years ago replaced the center axles added a DDM front plate and redid the shocks and what not. I don't get to use it too much since I've had kids so yeah shell be good to go when I'm done. I dis just realize something very disappointing though.... guy I bought it from told me it had an obr g320 Reed in it..... it's just a stupid bolt on Reed kit? gonna have to do something about that.

What no way!!! What are ypu saying bolt on read?

Yep..... give me a little I'll get pics up after the kids are napping
EDIT
So here it is. I think it's a home made job. carb bolts through the inner holes. The outter ones don't go to anything. Kinda wanna get shorter bolts and toss everything back together to see how different it runs.? guess that's what I get for not knowing what I was looking at lol

So what do you guys think about these? Supposed to be 8mm have ball drive ends. Price is decent. It either them or the flm 4evers at little under twice the price.

And it's either between these or the flm for center shafts

I kinda like they use 5ive couplers but not crazy that they use modified pinions. I've been reading the flm center shafts have the same pin loss issues. And I don't know if you can run boots on them.

Tbh, I don't really trust China drive shafts and stuff like that that take alot of abuse, I like to play it safe with stuff like that but do what you want. Team hoonage look pretty good but I don't know anything about dbxl's

decided to go with the flm center cvds. the hoonage are great but $89.00 for one not a set like i thought. got a set bearings and new boots coming. going to try to put boot on the center cvds. if they stay that should almost eliminate the pin wear issues i have. i found a full set of stock outer axles so im just gonna toss them in and worry about them next time one kicks a pin. I have a spare sway bar so that's taken care of. Haven't decided if I want to get new shocks or rebuild mine. Found some factory 5ive t 2.0 from shocks on Ebay for cheap. (I have the roven 5ive t 1.0 shocks on now) I already got the plastic devil out to get this order soooooo well see if the wife notices ?

Yeah figured I better just get them
Got 2 sets obviously
Nice 1 they are good shocks!??

What the hell is that thing??‍♀️?????

I know right !!! Only number on it is s61 I've searched all over the interweb and found nothing about it. I did come across a thread on a boat forum from 2014 that had porting tips and tricks and said about adding a Reed spacer but had no part number or anything. So the engine is gonna come apart. If nothing looks too muffled up inside I'll chuck on a fresh ring and put it back together with out that Reed spacer thing on it and see how it runs.
Oh and now I need to get or make new carb linkage just realized its definitely a home made set up. The ends of the wire look like they were cut with a diagonal cutter ???

Lottle bit of dry fitting.
I did notice some of the machines holes for the brake rod and puck had burrs on them. Took a min to clean up. No biggie. Overall I think it will work out well.thought it was nice they made it so stock brake pads could be used if needed. The included ones seem very grippy though.
Forgot to add these cracked plastic trans mount both sides cracked in the same place
