Hi all,

I'm just wondering what temperature the exhaust gasses are roughly expected to be from my Marder/Zen23.

I'd like to have a rough idea as I'd thought of trying different material's for exhaust tubing and it might just help if I had a clue as to what temperatures are involved ???

Cheers,
Lee

'trying different material's for exhaust tubing' are you looking to make your own exhaust or are you looking for a joint part?

A bit of both really ;)
I've got a manifold and tuned pipe but no u-bend or joining parts and I found some u shaped silicon tubing that is usually used for turbo's and it's effective temperature is +180C so wondered if I could use that in place of the u-bend and both joints ?

Was just a thought, I do like to make things myself instead of buying them as I like the satisfaction you get too.

a nicely tuned motor should be making aroudn 1200* f exaust gasses. ofcourse the metal doesn't get THAT hot, but it does get very hot.
touch it and see. lol

i never measuered it. take a nitro temp gun and temp the header area. im expecting 400ish
