not sure if the beach sand had something to do with the stripped spur. sand can wear out parts insanly fast, what clutch spring are you running?

beach running is fun but be prepared for a big clean or watch parts fail. ive never run any of my FG's on sand for that reason but would still like to.

i had good runs with plastic spurs, ran about 20 tanks and only ever went through 2-3 but have since upgraded to alloy spur, run about 20 tanks through that and it still looks brand new so yeah save yourself the hassle if you can afford it and get an alloy one.

also if you haven't already get yourself a pair of alloy enjoy mounts, I think their vital, stop the layshaft mesh going out of wack and save yourself a heap of $$ in replacing gears.
