Turtle Racing diff cover?

When did Turtle Racing start making these and maybe we should start a thread for the Vekta for new parts being released.I may have been out of the loop but I never even saw this until todays deal of the day.

IDK but it's DOTD on DDM and I've been looking at it. It just looks so poorly made compared to the RCMax one you can get from Detroit Performance for like $5 more (when the TR is at normal price).

Yup I had seen the TR piece for a couple weeks now. I troll over at DDM every few weeks on the vekta and 5ive upgrade parts and came across it. I have the RCMax one myself so I wasn't too worried??

I understand the inside finish because it may help a bit to hold on to the grease a bit and with the cut out for the gears on the inside that may be a good idea.The outside finish is a different story though.

Other then the actual finish I like the tr one better. It could use a good polish or at least better machine programming for stop points. The Detroit performance one is just a cover to me. doesn't scream I belong on a bad arse axle at the back of a vekta.. jmo

Yeah I don't think it's bad either. I like how it's different but not worth it to me since I already got the rcmax.

the TR is nice too. I was eyeballing it yesterday. I think what he was trying to do is match it with the front side Off the diff where the drive shaft goes in

I like the Turtle too and I have a plain aluminum one on mine but that TR one isn't bad if you clean up the spokes on the outside.

I personally like the tooling marks in between the spokes but the spokes not so much.I like that more options are becoming available.

I said it needs cleaned up, and liked its style better then the rc max. The machining Mark's look like crap, and the "struts" should be a bit wider to look more scale imo. But yeah. Not into ole plane jane cover either..... vince... where you at buddy?

i was debating which one i should get & i ended up buying the TR cover. love the look of the rcmax cover, but like you said it looks plain. it's like the stock vekta cover but with their logo. i'll probably end up buying it later who knows

Nothing to do with stop points. Their machine or tooling is the issue it looks like to be honest. I just shut my mouth and I'll clean up whatever I get from now on
