Version identification?

So I have been looking and can't find a real answer, how do you know which version you have? Is it stamped on the chassis somewhere? I bought my MT used and am unsure, I know most parts are interchangeable but a few say v1 or v2 only. Thanks

Look on the bottom of the chassis.

If you have a rectangular cut-out that holds your diff housings in place, then it is a V1/V2.

The V3/V4 has 3 holes to locate the diff housings into the chassis.

if you look in my photo album I have the pics to show the difference. The gold chassis is V3/V4 and the purple one that I changed the color of is the V1/V2. that should help ya out.
