What is the different between IC5/EC5 plug

Hi guys.
As I know, There are several cars in losi that use lipo with the IC5 plug, but I want to use EC5, are there any problems? what is the different between them?

It appears the IC3 IC5 plugs are the next generation of smart plugs says they are compatible with the old ec3 ec5. https://www.spektrumrc.com/smarttechnology/

Both look to be a tad on the small side for any 1/5 or larger 1/8 scale amperage imo.

Has anyone seen the blue EC5 with the data pin in the middle? The male side is marked “CP-3000” and uses a center pin instead of a blade like the Spektrum connector. I’m looking for a source of these.
