what parts interchange with the ShengQi 1/5th Scale Gas powered RC Monster Truck Hummer
i wanna do upgrades and stuff so im curious what parts will interchange. the hobby shop told me that the truck is basically a firehammer mt so does that mean firehammer parts will fit or what?
 
I just sold a TQ. it had tq, fh and fg parts all over it. all fh parts fit. the fh mt gas tank is nicer than the tq thing. fg metal spur carrier is a must. you can also look at carson hop ups. they are cheap too
 
another clone name. smartech, carson, firehammer, shenghai, man so many. even the hobby pro is almost a carbon. the biggest difference to watch for is dif internals and dif outdrives. the outdrive is a splined shaft that plugs into the dif gear. all the clones use the same size spline, fg is different. so they have to match.

clone name arms for mt have a swoop and are wider (wider dogbone too), fg mt arms are fatter and take dual shocks with a taller front shock tower. pinion combos are different as well because side plate/mount is about 2mm difference between clone and fg

if you went through a couple threads, a few of us have tried and tested so many different things. some work, some fail. just do some reading before you hit the pay button.

the other thing to consider. fg quality is much better, yes it is more expensive but many times worth spending the extra. depending on the part. I still like using the mt arms because wider is more stable

I'm new to all this. I bought my 1:5 hummer on ebay...when I got It I crashed into a tree and broke the front bumper and servo saver. I tried everywhere to locate this part that i need "Servo saver" would anyone know where I can find this part? or perhaps upgrade this part? thanks

Here is a link to the servo saver. Looks like they are waiting for the order to arrive. give them a bit and I would imagine they will have them in stock.

He has the truck guys, not a Firehammer. Duratrax parts are actually good. You aren't going to get FG arms to fit on a Firehammer MT without changing loads of other stuff.
 
spend the money for the alloy fg servo saver. it's got bearings and so much smoother and less flex. just one of those things that are better to upgrade when it breaks. I am converting my nutech on road car to an fg chassis and the servo saver is aluminum and the same as fg/firehammer for bolting up. another option.
