I have used Hitec HS-5745MGs and Mutilplex Rhinos in my MCD Race Runners and Hitec HS-755MGs and Multiplex Rhinos in my MCD Rally car.

From my experience of bashing/racing the Rally car with 755MGs I don't think there are powerful or fast enough for the heavier off road MCDs.

The HS805BB is too large for the stock servo tray, I believe that MCD did originally produce a servo tray for the larger quarter scale servos.

Before you purchase the servos I would suggest you contact Rossendale Models, they are the experts for MCD in the UK and see if they have ever run the HS-755MG in the off road models.

I recommend the Hitec HS-5745MG (18.0 kg at 6.0 v) as the best value for money steering servo for the MCDs - http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/item/HS5745MG-Hitec-HS5745MG-Digital-Quarter-Scale-Servo__2884/ or http://www.servoshop.co.uk/index.php?pid=HITHS5745MG&area=Servo

Providing you set the linkages and left/right end point adjustment correctly they will gives years of use. The pair in one of my Race Runners have been bashed/raced hard since January 2007!!!!

I'm with Clive on the HS-5745MG....That is also the ones I use and they are wicked fast and plenty strong.
You might also want to consider running a lipo setup with your receiver that way you don't have to charge as often. That is what I did and it works great!!

if you got the dough I'd go for the digi4's, i run dual 5745's on my rampage MT and a single digi4 on my TT, the rhino is faster and has near as much power as 2 5745's. The 5745's are good servos but the rhino digi4 is the best you can get. When funds allow I'll be going dual digi4's on my MT

The problem with a twin steering servo set-up is if one servo fails and you don't stop immediately there is a danger the other one will be damaged as well. You don't want that happening to Rhinos that cost £99.99 each!

The extra power/torque and speed of the Rhinos is noticable but even racing off road on astro turf the 5745s still provide plently of steering.

hi guys im ready to buy three servos for my MCD RR i just want you opinion on these servos

this one:
http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/item/HS805BB-Hitec-HS805BB-Quarter-Scale-Servo__2883/

(quick turning speed and more torque but plastic gears)

or

this one:
http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/item/HS755MG-Hitec-HS755MG-Quarter-Scale-Servo__2882/

(slower turning speed than the other one and less torque but metal gears)

so what do you guys think?

The 805bb will not fix in stock radio tray. You have cut into the radio tray to make it fit.

Sorry, dgav407 already said it wouldn't fit
