is there a way to lower the stock body on the xt. I cant decide rather to buy a dune runner or the xt/xb. i would probably go with the xt if there was a way to drop the body:confused:

I have all of these I like the dune runner the best for racing when I am not on the track I like the XT the best for speed and great bashing.

As for the XT...If you're referring to the plastic body shell, yes it can be lowered by adjusting the front and rear body posts up and down. If you mean the ride height of the truck, there two options on the shock tower where u can position the top of the shocks.

i cut the body post down front and rear about an inch and a half, took the roll cage off entirely and slammed my body.. the bottom lines of the stock body expose about half of the factory dirt guards on the chasis.. you can no longer see the pull start and gear cover.. idk that was the look i was going for!

i was quite surprised in the top end speed on the xt.. wish i still had my Baja to run it against.. im thinkin XT with the pipe will take it but that could just be because its the only one i have in front of me at the moment> does anyone know for sure before i open my mouth and race one of my buddies??

out of the three (dunerunner xt xb) which is best for just bashing and some times racing ive heard that the rampage "x" serius has problems with the drive shafts and stuff like that?

Nah, if it was my money id buy the X series over the MT/TT/dunerunner for racing and bashing.

IMO I feel its just a personal preference I feel have more durability out of my dune runner and MT then the XT series I have had to at least buy more upgrades and parts for the XT and XB then I have for the dune runner or the MT. The dunne runner I have bought upgrades that I wanted just to make it look sharper but it has not been down yet but all of them are much fun in there own way.

i hated my xt when i brought it home!! right away i had a few little problems, the set screws on the rotors backed out and i had no brakes, the rear drive shaft fell out of the joint, and the wheel bearings went three times before third tank.. i loctited the set screws on the rotors, got new bearings ( with plenty extras) and since then i haven't had one issue. i just got back ten min ago from beating the snot out of it for three tanks and not one hiccup.. i actually went home with the truck in perfect condition. I reccomend the X series for anyone who knows how to fix little problems on there own. the end result once youve went over the issues will make you happy

so for the money whats the best 1/5 scale i can get i cant decide between the xb/xt, the dunerunner, or a king motor baja ksrc-c002???????

Personally, I'd wait until they resolve the diff case issue before considering an XT/XB. As well as the tire foam issue. The solutions for the diff issue are OK, but for some people it's just not practical. The tire foam issue is an easy, but expensive fix. Baja tires and wheels aren't cheap, plus you have to buy a set of adapters. Don't get me wrong, it's a great platform, but it has a few snags that need to be taken care of.

The foams suck but can be fixed for less than $5 and some patience. Just boil the tires off the rims and replace the foam with a "cut to fit" pool noodle. The diff cases seem to be an issue, luckily I haven't had that problem.Of course I don't flip, crash or run in rough terrain in race conditions. Do not let those 2 hiccups deter you, this is a VERY good buggy for the price point.

Personal preference is the only real answer. I depends what you are going to do with it. The Dunerunner is a larger buggy then the xb. More metal and it weighs more. The xb is lighter and easier to make really quick. If you buy the xb you can always run the XT body if you want a change (same platform). If you like big you can run the truck bodies designed for the Baja would work on the Dunerunner. The Dunerunner has a longer wheelbase. IMO just buy what you like the best. No platform is perfect. After you get one you will want another one. It's very addicting.

OK thanks guys well i think im going to go with the dune runner i just love the looks and i prefer having all the metal parts on it it makes me feel more secure what do you guys think? ;)

Some things you just don't realized until you have one. I've found I had having to deal with my body to start/tune/gas my 1/5scale. I now run my XT without the body, and if I could pick again Id probably lean to the dune runner. Plus the dunerunner is as far as I can tell the parts are the same as on the TT/MT line up, so there's a lot of metal hop-ups. I'd love a dune runner for the 4wd, with a mean 7hp full mod motor.

You'll have lots of fun.
