I was just curious, cause it was around this time last year I was in the market for a 5th scale. Did the math on the HPI's and price was ridiculous (15cc Octane too.) don't do any racing so the Losi was out of the question. Then I came across Redcat. I wanted a heavy duty 4x4 truck so I landed the MT around March of this year. Satisfied, yes, except with the electronics. I never did much research on the XT. It just seemed to have a lower ground clearance, and alot more plastic. I do alot of off road bashing, jumps and some mud. It seemed to fit my needs more. Just curious to hear both sides of the story.

same amount of plastic, the MT uses beefier hinge pins and thicker plastics on the control arms. also has dual steering servos and the chassis is slightly more robust. no to mention the 30cc engine vs the 32cc

Yep, the MT is beefier than the XT. But, In the last year, the XT has upgraded bearing holders, so the difference isn't that much anymore.

It seems the chassis has alot more plastic on the XT. doesn't it also have a 2 speed tranny?
