I got an offer for one of these so I started to look for information. Does anyone know about this RC? I searched online and can't really find any information about it.

Anyone own one of these? Any one seen ones of these. I am just looking for information and opinions.

What are these worth?

Thanks,
Alex

Yankee are old units. maybe made in the late 70s thru the 80s or early 90s from a company that was based in france. they did come with a 25cc kawasaki 2 stroke "F7" motor which was supposed to be a pretty decent mootr for the time.

i did see one of these yankee 1/4 F1 that was New and never started/used go on fleabay a few months back for like 700.00 or something. its more valuable as a collector item than it is as a running rc. parts will be VERY hard to find, and will most likely need to be made one off if you ever needed them. though the value would be in the eye of the buyer. its not like they are worth 4 or 5 grand for them due to them being discontinued ect....

Dude I'd trade my left nut for it if it's in pristine condition! In a seriousness i've been looking for one for a few years now, i've always been outbid on e-Bay or they don't want to ship out of the 48. I some stuff to trade if you snag it and are interested LMK.

They actually still make a few models, but it's not the original owner. No one imports them to the states. I bought a F1 in Austria for $650.00 unfortunately I was'nt able to complete the deal because the shipping was close to $400.00. Unless you know what you're looking at there are a lot of hack jobs out there.

There's plenty of info on the cars at http://www.quarterscalelegends.com/Yankee.html

One of the local hobby stores used to sell the Yankee cars whilst they were in production and the F1 is amazing.

If you are after an F1 car why not look out for the slightly smaller FG (Sportsline) one.

They are very popular at my local on road tracks and according to the drivers/racers they are far easier to set-up and more enjoyable to drive than the touring cars (FG Evos, Harm SX3 etc).
