Hello,
I am trying to find a 1/5 scale dogbone to use as a drive shaft that is approximately 6.5 inches long (165mm). I am planning on making a new chassis for my Hurricane and want to extend the wheelbase approximately 2 to 2.5 inches. Because I will custom make the chassis I can use a length of dog bone anywhere from 5.5 to 7.00 inches long. Please measure the dog bones on your vehicle and list them here with their description (drive axle, center drive shaft etc.)
Thanks!

That's a very long dog bone, I don't think I've seen any that long before, the FGMT ones are around 92/95mm from memory I think.

Check on HOBYTECK site sometimes thy list the length of the bones.
I now ELCON have XL bones for the FG but they are ball type bones.

Xl

I'am made a XL Monsterbeetle Pro FG car!
And I use the Elcon XL drive shafts.
It's 1,2cm wider than the originel from FG.
When you will wider, than you need the Elcon Cleon or Hörmann drive shafts.
Its all balldrive systeems.
Elcon and also Hörmann works with the FG balldrive system.
For Hörmann look at the follow site.
H 8/409 Kogelaandrijfas 128 mm. TK-08

128mm is verry wide!!!
The measures between the dogbones and balldrive system are not the same.
When you have a wide (XL) balldrive system you have the same lengte as a small dogbone system.
The different between de meassures is because of the different systems.

These are the dimensions off the originel FG dogebones.

length 90mm
length 96mm
length 102mm

These are the dimensions for the FG Balldrive systeem.

Length 85,5mm
length 91mm
length 96,5mm

The dimension for the XL balldrive shaft from Elcon.

106,5mm
(You can use this with the FG balldrive system)
