Take a good look at it , if the screws are two different lengths then there is a reason why , different housing thickness , recessed screw in one of the holes. There has to be something different.The risk is too high. Screw the wrong hold too deep then it throws the whole diff off not getting tight enough to hold firmly

Try it one way and then the other. Does one screw go in farther? too far??
The exploded view shows everything as far as hardware including length , diameter and what type of screw it actually is as well as what hole they go in.
