What is the preferred method for balancing a hull? My build is a 45" with a 50mm jet drive, 5694 1000kv motor, Flier 400a ESC, and two 6s 5500mAhr LiPos. The ESC/receiver tray will be mounted just far enough forward so that the motor can be removed.
What is the proper way to balance the hull to set the battery positions? I'm assuming somewhere around 30-40% forward from the transom. Or is this something to just use trial/error on; tape the batteries in place and see how it handles?

30% forward of the transom, find the center of gravity and don't shove alot of stuff forward or you'll ride wet and never get the boat to be as fast and nimble as it can be. Also leave yourself room for adjustment on the stinger so you can fine tune it.
