I like that there flanged too. You don’t have to keep up with washers.

Modified RC bottom plate, the thick one. Turtle top plate, Turtle diff case. I'm also using the HPI carbon Spurgear back plate that to install around the bearing of the rcmax I had to sand the hole bigger so wondering if it could be that which is a bit out of line...but thing is the holes on that match perfectly with the engine so thinking it can't be. As you can see there is some rub on the engine already just from break in. But the metal brace that goes from the pullstart side to the rear end is falling abit short by like a mm, the hole doesn't line up perfectly and I can't push the engine any further back because of the Turtle transmission case.Pics? What bottom plate are you using? Somthing doesn’t seem rite mine fit so good. Tr case. Taylor 50. I’m using a modified hd bottom plate and tr top plate. I didn’t do any grinding.
Yea so I've grinded it down a bit and now it all fits snug..think it's still touching but don't want to take too much off...I've basically made a flat spot about as deep as the chamfered edge, don't know if I can go any further. I have heard about this issue before but surprised it isn't more talked about and nothing seems to really be on YouTube about it, wonder if the TR case is more likely to fit with a different combination of other parts. Surprised nothing is mentioned on the Taylor rc website either, I have some nice pitting on the crankcase when breaking the engine in thanks to this.Grind the rear case down a bit. All of them touched the bigbore engines, alx, Taylor etc. The new Taylor case fixed that, and I believe the newer tr cases did also.
On another note, those 5b modified plates always seem to fit worse than their standard plates.
