FG Alloy side plates

I've got a 4WD FG Baja Buggy WB 535 and was looking to convert it to the monster truck.

I was going to order the side alloy side plates for it but was wondering if I can do without them as they do make it difficult to work on the rig. Are the alloy side plates really more just for show or do they brace and stop the chassis from flexing?

I know the Marder-based Monster Beetle didn't have the side alloy side plates.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hello,

the side plates are not needed they are only for show. They are only important for the side body mounts. If you will build the car without the plates you can use left and right on the roll cage part number 7154 from FG the fix the body shell.
