this morning me and my daughter ran a couple more battery packs down in the shed, it got way to hot to run any more battery packs so i started to pull it apart and see what 15 battery packs through the diff and trans looked like.
to my suprise every thing looked ok the diff was a little looser then when i first got it so i shimmed it up so now its pritty tight i read about this on a usa micro forum here
http://www.microtforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11757
i only usded a 0.1mm shim, and i thought while i was at it i might try the losi brushless motor and esc ive got, it was all realy simple to install but there is no way in hell im going to be able to get the body back on just yet lols, ill wait untill my spektrum sr3500 rx is here then ill clean up the wiring and make it all fit under the hood.
i used the largest pinion that came with the micro - t i think its a 11 tooth i didnt even count it, but at 1/4 throttle the car is now as fast as it was stock with full throttle you need very good and light throttle control or its spin,s across the shed floor any time its got traction it will jsut black flips.
its way over powered and way to fast for what it is, i thought ill never say that with rc, but it is, still great fun and fast if you use no more then about 3mm throttle any more is just a blur spinning across the shed floor, i have not tryed it inside the house yet, theres way more traction, but in stock form last night it was a bit quick in the house if you gunned it and with the lipo in stock form it was just nuts popping wheelies all the time, so now it will just be silly lols.
any way im goign to charge it up again and play with some pinions and im hopping with the spektrum dx3e and the sr3500 rx i will have a bit more control radio wise and if the alloy parts take some slop out of the front end it should be a tad more user friendly.
