i got the car back together but i broke one of the motor wire conectors so i cut them all off and resoldered all the wires, using some servo wire i had left over from my all alloy fg mt build the motor works well again, ive read your ment to keep the motor wires the same lenght but i made them a tad longer to make life easyer for me with the car.

i also broke the switch on the brushless losi esc modding it to fit in the stock chassis switch location lols so i just soldered the wires together and im just using the battery leads to turn it off and on when i need to, when my micro dt is here ill pinch the stock switch off its faulty reciver esc combo and fix it up as i want my good reciver esc combo to build the micro t im using now to build the micr tback into stock forum and ill full hopup the micro dt.

the spektrum radio feels good and is working well the car is more responsive, the steering servo is a tad twitchy when you first turn it on and occasionally when in use, it was like this with the losi 3 wire servo reciver combo, i asumed it was the stock 27meg radio but now im thinking its the cheap little servo, so later on ill try the jr jr sm22 micro servo.

my wife took another little video of the first run since i got the car back together nothing special, still cant use more then 1/4 throttle, so once my daughter wakes up i might take it down the road to a carpark to get some traction i might use a bigger pinion also and see how it goes when you opean it right up.

a quickvideo of my micro-t doing speed runs,with 13t pinion and 50t (stock) spur gear, 10250kv losi brushless system, threaded axels,ball bearings int he hubs and wheels with a spektrum dx3e radio and spektrum sr3500 receiver and bald stock rubber got 12 mins this run with the losi 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo, it was windy as almost gail force winds so the sounds not the best.

im going to buy a 15t pinion and a 49t spur the difrence between 50t and 49t spur would be minimal but ill get one, like most other specktrum radios ive had in the past this one lives upto my expectation im battling to get more then 20 meters with this set up, but for a micro its ok but it would be no good for a larger rc car or truck, when it comes time to buy a larger rc car i will go back to buying futaba ill most likly get another 3pmx 2.4ghz as i was happy with the 3pm 2.4ghz ive had big mobs of range.

the micro -t did well and impressed me it was quicker then i thought handled much better then it does int he shed of the smooth concrete you still had to ease on thye throttle or it would spin out and even with the hot racing 13t derlin pinion it still had no trouble spinning the rears on take off, i would like to put it on a tamiya speed checker to see what it is realy doing.

any way heres the video

cause i was doing spped runs i didnt let my daughter drive it i kind of hogged it, she cracked it so to make it upto her i let her drive the falcon heres a quick vid, she asked to spin the wheels as soon as we started driving, don't know where she got that from lols

crank the sound up to here what she say,s.

tonight i was looking over the little truck, i might of had the slipper clutch to tight as the dog bones are bent like bananas lols ill bend them back into shape and keep driving it, looks like the stock dog bones are made from aluminum, so i brought some steel one to test out.

while i was there i brought a 49 tooth spur gear like i said befor i don't think there will be much of a difrence from 50 to 49 to top speed or acceleration but i brought it any way lols

i also brought a losi rear spring set it includes 6 springs 2 x soft 2 x medium and 2 x firm i plan to use this on the stock micro as the stock rear springs are way to soft, i have adjustable alloy shocks comming for the other micro.

thats it for spending for a while my wife has cut my pocket money off for a bit, now i just got to sit back and wait for all these items and the heap of others ive already ordered to come in the mail, i actualy like getting things in the mail as every think is electronic these days

I love my 2 1/36 scale Losi Mini's...One has the brushless/lipo setup and the other is bone stock...Theyre both a blast to run around the house on rainny days like I have today....Had them out this morning after prepping the 11 nitros and 3 gassers last night for a bash-a-thon only to get a rainout today[yuck].The stock Losi had a lil mishap when it went sky high-hit the rotating ceiling fan and the rear a-arm plus tire got busted off which is pretty funny in itself because I had my mini's over a year now and thats the first real damage that put it out of commission for a few days until the replacements I ordered a lil while ago gets here by the middle of next week..The bad part is waiting but the good part is I get two rear and two front a-arms for the same price I can get just 1 replacement arm from the local hobby shops..shipping included.Good luck to all the other mini owners and theyre r/c's..

they are great fun, you got some nice rides there, its funny how we can buy things from over sea,s cheaper then from home hey even if you include international shipping.

like a micro diff shipped from inside australia is around $30 aud posted but i can get one shipped form the usa for around $14 aud 50% + saving.

the cheapest rtr micros i could find from australia was just over $160 shipped but i could get one shipped for the uk for $120 aud a 40 aud saving, but now ive seen the micros in australia for $140 shipped, they have droped in the last two weeks.

so all my parts and ive brought loads for this thing, all the parts have come from over seas, so unfortunaly i have a 2 to 3 week wait on most items and shipping not the fastest this time of year building up to christmass, but the savings im making on the parts is worth the wait to me.

the gear box set and spur gear set i ordered from australia ended up costing me $33.80 i could of got 3 full asembled gear box sets for that from the usa and the sets include, complete gear box,s with diffs and spur gears full asembled, mine didnt have a diff and were loose parts and the spur gear set had two outer slipper plates and no inner lols.

ive always brought alot of parts from over seas in my builds even when the australian dollar was lower, but now its dam good pritty much matching the usd so its even more worth while buying from over seas.

.... might have had something to do with the bent dogbones?
I would guess of the order of 50+ kph there !!

The only problem I find is the 'cogging' when they're slightly overgeared or even when you try to move off slowly with the Losi Xcelorin.
Al.

Going forward seams fine every now and then it does not like going backwards after moving forward it seams to handle the 13t pinion ok I think the stock pinion is 10t and it's a bit silly with that pinion wheelies and spin out if you gun it to quick, I'll see how it goes with the 15t pinion and 49t spur when they get here, like I've said befor I don't think the 49t spur gear will make much of a difference over the stock 50t spur gear but I'll give it ago

well im going to try some steel dog bones, but i think i bent the dog bones due to a locked diff a locked slipper cutting up on tarmac and a few crashes so ill back off the slipper clutch to take some stress off.

im hopping there is some stuff in the mail for me today as there is some stuff due soon im hopping that big toyz order is here and mabe the diff gears that i no longer need to fix my diff lols

well the diff gears finaly turned up after 28 days, i don't need them right now since i epoxyed my diff, but ill keep them as spares for my micro desert truck when it gets here.

100_3616.webp

my order also turned up from the toyz.com and the alloy gear cover i ordered from the toyz of there ebay site, i was going to use these parts on my micro-t but now ill save them for when my micro desert truck gets here.

100_3614.webp

i could not help myself i brought the losi micro stand it was like 3 bucks

100_3615.webp

so now im just waiting on

* alloy front shock tower for the dt

* rpm wide front bumper

* alloy bearing gear box

* chrome dt wheelies

* 2mm lock nuts for the axel,s and slipper clutch ? (to replace the stock plastic nuts on the threaded axel set)

* steel dog bones

* 49t spur gear

* losi rear tuned spring set (for the stock micro-t the rear is to soft)

* micro-t chassis (to build my micro-t back to stock)

* losi pinion set 10t, 13t and 15t

* the micro desert truck i won of ebay.

i still need to buy a jr sm22 servo and servo saver set to suit then that should be it for hot ups then i might look more into the electrics e.g esc and motor.

today i pulled the gear box part since its done 7 battery packs since i rebuilt it to fix the spur gear wobble, the 3 brass bushes look good still so every 5 or so battery back i might pull it apart and regrease the bushes till my alloy bearing gear box gets here.

I have about 20 of those micro tz in various conditions, most are parts. They are great little cars. Batterys suck though.

great little cars good fun, my 84 y/o grand dad had a drive of mine today :lol:

i only used the stock battery 9 times and throught it was ok but ive run the 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo 28 times now with the bearing upgrade for the rear hubs and front wheel,s gettting from 12 mins with alot of full throttle and double that in the house just cruzing around

ive slowed down with the amount of batteries ive been putting through this little car its been to hot during the day to run it in the shed, so me and the wife and been running a lipo through it at night as my wife enjoys driving it even more so them my old large scales, but in the short time ive had this thing we have run it alot and even my daughter has ran it loads.

sofar in stock form we have ran

9 x stock 4.8v 150mah nimh

5 x 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo

after the brushless convertion

28 x 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo

so pritty impressed with the little car sofar 42 battery packs ran though it, with no breakages just wore out the three brass bushes in the stock gear box, the little lipo has had 33 charges with no problems and has be great for its size.

the car its self is tuff and does not realy need any upgrades out of the box for light users and has proven to be pritty relible for for its size and out of the box it comes with every thing you need to drive it including batteries, charger, spare body clips and a couple difrent sized pinion gears 9t and 11t with a 10t installed.

but my thoughts straight out the rear shock springs are to week to muck sag, no bearings in the rear hubs or front wheels just plastic bushes, the gear box runs 3 brass bushes on the spur gear shaft and they need to be regrease every so oftern or they will wear out quickly with heavy use, the stock esc, reciver combo tends to go in thermal shut down every now and then, i noticed this when running a couple of batteries packs back to back (1 x nimh 1 x lipo) but it would reset or come good in a second or two, or you can turn it off and back on again and i wore the rear tyres realy quick but 35 battery packs later the rear tyres are still holding in there just bald and just starting to come off the rim on the out side, nothing some glue wount fix.

so there would be the upgrades i would recomend to first time buyers.

if i was to rate this little rc car from 1 to 5 with 1 as poor and 5 as perfect taking all things into account i would rate it around 4 out of 5 since its cheap, it will take pritty much any thing you can throw at it, its truly ready to run with batteries for the radio and quick charger and the charger it charges batteries in 15 odd mins not 6 to 8 hours like some ready to run rc cars and its simple to use it does not get much easyer or better then this as i don't know any ready to run rc car you can run 42 batteries through it with constant crahses and stacks and its still going not to mention spare parts and hop ups are cheap (more so in the usa then australia to be honest). i would rate it 5 out of 5 if it had bearings in the front wheeles, rear hubs, gear box and mabe if the thermal shut off was set a bit higher, but all in all i think they are worth the money, and ive have got my money,s worth

i read and ive herd people talk about coging with the losi brushless system, i didnt knowm what they ment i asumed it was bogging or hesitation from the losi blushless motor and electronic speed controller, i asked some on in the know and they confirmed this, i noticed this a little with the stock 27mhz radio, but put it down to it being a stock radio or it being used in a tin shed, but now i have been using the spektrum radio i cant dismiss the cogging cause of radio glitches or for it being used in a tin shed or interfernce ingeneral.

to be honest for what i payed for the brushless system from the usa its worth the money and has been loads of fun, but there is some hesitation some times from going from reverse to forward and just occation going forward once the car is stopped, but nothing once its moving, not realy enogh to bother me and not for the amount i spent on the losi micro brushless sytem, mabe if i payed the 60% more like what ive seen the losi brushless systems go for in australia mabe then i would say more on the subject, im happy with it as its a direct fit, cheap more then enough power for the micro mabe even to much so im happy with it.

i think this motor would of been enough power wise, its ment to be better then stock, faster better run times and runs bearings not like the stock motor,

a good question is to run lipos or stock batteries, the choice is yours ive found the stock rechargable battery that comes with the car is half the cost of a lipo, so cheap to by extra,s it takes around 15 mins or so to charge and offers 6 volts of power fully charged, the lipo,s on other hand cost around double the price, you need a special charger if you have not already got one, they take around 45 mins to charge but offer 8.4 volts when fully charged so an extra 2.4volts of power so to speak, this will also mean more stress and things wear out quicker like gear box bushes and tryes, but some would say more fun and more wheelies.

i did notice double the power with the losi micro brushless converstion running the losi lipo in my micro t and about double the run time also. but near on tripple the charge time not to mention the extra cost of the lipo charger losi micro brushless system and lipo battery but to me it was worth it as, i use the charger for other things and i like having more powert hen the micro t can handle. (the optional stock losi lipo charger does not work in australia, so i cant comment on that)

all in all a great car loads of fun, cheap, tuff as nails, fast and good for big and little kids fun for the whole family, i can truly recomend these little things.
