ive slowed down with the amount of batteries ive been putting through this little car its been to hot during the day to run it in the shed, so me and the wife and been running a lipo through it at night as my wife enjoys driving it even more so them my old large scales, but in the short time ive had this thing we have run it alot and even my daughter has ran it loads.
sofar in stock form we have ran
9 x stock 4.8v 150mah nimh
5 x 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo
after the brushless convertion
28 x 7.4v 2s 180mah lipo
so pritty impressed with the little car sofar 42 battery packs ran though it, with no breakages just wore out the three brass bushes in the stock gear box, the little lipo has had 33 charges with no problems and has be great for its size.
the car its self is tuff and does not realy need any upgrades out of the box for light users and has proven to be pritty relible for for its size and out of the box it comes with every thing you need to drive it including batteries, charger, spare body clips and a couple difrent sized pinion gears 9t and 11t with a 10t installed.
but my thoughts straight out the rear shock springs are to week to muck sag, no bearings in the rear hubs or front wheels just plastic bushes, the gear box runs 3 brass bushes on the spur gear shaft and they need to be regrease every so oftern or they will wear out quickly with heavy use, the stock esc, reciver combo tends to go in thermal shut down every now and then, i noticed this when running a couple of batteries packs back to back (1 x nimh 1 x lipo) but it would reset or come good in a second or two, or you can turn it off and back on again and i wore the rear tyres realy quick but 35 battery packs later the rear tyres are still holding in there just bald and just starting to come off the rim on the out side, nothing some glue wount fix.
so there would be the upgrades i would recomend to first time buyers.

if i was to rate this little rc car from 1 to 5 with 1 as poor and 5 as perfect taking all things into account i would rate it around 4 out of 5 since its cheap, it will take pritty much any thing you can throw at it, its truly ready to run with batteries for the radio and quick charger and the charger it charges batteries in 15 odd mins not 6 to 8 hours like some ready to run rc cars and its simple to use it does not get much easyer or better then this as i don't know any ready to run rc car you can run 42 batteries through it with constant crahses and stacks and its still going not to mention spare parts and hop ups are cheap (more so in the usa then australia to be honest). i would rate it 5 out of 5 if it had bearings in the front wheeles, rear hubs, gear box and mabe if the thermal shut off was set a bit higher, but all in all i think they are worth the money, and ive have got my money,s worth
i read and ive herd people talk about coging with the losi brushless system, i didnt knowm what they ment i asumed it was bogging or hesitation from the losi blushless motor and electronic speed controller, i asked some on in the know and they confirmed this, i noticed this a little with the stock 27mhz radio, but put it down to it being a stock radio or it being used in a tin shed, but now i have been using the spektrum radio i cant dismiss the cogging cause of radio glitches or for it being used in a tin shed or interfernce ingeneral.
to be honest for what i payed for the brushless system from the usa its worth the money and has been loads of fun, but there is some hesitation some times from going from reverse to forward and just occation going forward once the car is stopped, but nothing once its moving, not realy enogh to bother me and not for the amount i spent on the losi micro brushless sytem, mabe if i payed the 60% more like what ive seen the losi brushless systems go for in australia mabe then i would say more on the subject, im happy with it as its a direct fit, cheap more then enough power for the micro mabe even to much so im happy with it.
i think this motor would of been enough power wise, its ment to be better then stock, faster better run times and runs bearings not like the stock motor,

a good question is to run lipos or stock batteries, the choice is yours ive found the stock rechargable battery that comes with the car is half the cost of a lipo, so cheap to by extra,s it takes around 15 mins or so to charge and offers 6 volts of power fully charged, the lipo,s on other hand cost around double the price, you need a special charger if you have not already got one, they take around 45 mins to charge but offer 8.4 volts when fully charged so an extra 2.4volts of power so to speak, this will also mean more stress and things wear out quicker like gear box bushes and tryes, but some would say more fun and more wheelies.
i did notice double the power with the losi micro brushless converstion running the losi lipo in my micro t and about double the run time also. but near on tripple the charge time not to mention the extra cost of the lipo charger losi micro brushless system and lipo battery but to me it was worth it as, i use the charger for other things and i like having more powert hen the micro t can handle. (the optional stock losi lipo charger does not work in australia, so i cant comment on that)
all in all a great car loads of fun, cheap, tuff as nails, fast and good for big and little kids fun for the whole family, i can truly recomend these little things.
