Mine's now on MaxAmps 2x 3S LiPo with 50C peak discharge - run in parallel of course!!

I had 4x 2S LiPo in parallel and thought THAT was fast, which it is ... but this is insane !!! :lol::lol::lol::lol:
I'm not supposed to run with power on grass, but I'm not even up to speed before I hit the grass, then I have to slow it and turn !!

We're snowed and iced in here in UK, so cannot test for a while. I only had a quick blast in light rain, when the MaxAmps arrived, then it snowed .... damn ...
Then I got the 1/8 Raminator out for a while :lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, the lad loved it, for a while, but even he's bored now he realises he just isn't getting out.
Supposed to 'thaw out' by Boxing Day, but not if the forecast temps are correct!! Daily average of minus 3, dropping to minus 8 until Monday or so !!

I'm frustrated 'cause I want to 'play out' as much as my son does !!! :lol::lol::lol:
(and I'm walking the 2k to work to avoid a possible slide in the car - low profile tyres - no flex, high pressures ... small contact patch)

Only another couple of days, then I'm off for a week. Here's hoping!!

last week i was drag racing my falcon up and down an old back road was getting aprox 55kmh with almost full throttle but the road was ruff and the micro-dt did a few flips and when it hit the little cats eye,s on the middle of the road well it would starting flying lols.

i broke the little clear plastic steering links on the dt they are flexible clear plastic that moves with the suspention, it seams the micro-dt is heavyer and slightly bigger as i never broke these with the micro-t no matter what i did, but i made new ones out of small cable ties so the car was back in action atfer 30 mins lols

then on christmas eve have a few drinks with a mate bashing the little dt truck on my back veranda we launched it a few times of the side of the veranda a 5 foot drop lols and lets just say we chrashed it many times, the rear left shock broke and some how the losi firm rear spring wraped around the dog bone not sure how long for lols the moral of the story is don't drink and drive, its very hard to control the little rocket when your half cut.

the little truck is still going we are going to take it out a mates place for a boxing day bbq so lets see what else we can do to it last time i was there with my micro t we blew the diff.

i have not posted a video up for a while so heres a quick one nothing special


ive run 2 x stock nimh and 8 x lipos through the dt now and have had two broken parts one steering link and one broken rear shock, these where used parts of my micro t so ive got my money,s worth out of them, the rear dt tyres are comming away from the out side of the rims ill have to glue them but im still loving the little micros, but looking forward to my mini e revo vxl getting here.

it seams ive done one to many flat out backward crashes or to many flat out spin outs into objects today the motor case came apart after a flat out crash into a pole lols

i cleaned the inside of the motor out as it had dirt and dust inside it and ive glued the motor case back on with some epoxy and its still working well all in all im happy with the losi brushless system its doing good as the motor and esc has done around 37 battery packs and the losi 7.2 2s 180mah lipo has done around 42 charges if you include the times i used it with the stock electric,s
 
well i blew the micro-dt diff today after work it was shimmed i got 11 lipo,s with the brushless set up and 2 stock nimh with the stock electrics, plus how every many battery packs it was used for befor i brought it (it couldnt of been many). the diff lasted a little longer then the diff in my micro-t

the diff out drives are worn and flared a bit, the thread axels are worn and flared also, i did use the threaded axels for a heap of battery packs on the micro-t so ive got my money,s worth out of them.



the gpm steel dog bones are not bent or twisted but the pins are worn, so it wont be long till i have to replace them all, for now i just reversed them to milk as much life and use out of them as i can.



i was not able to shim the rebuilt diff like the first one, even with a 0.1mm shim it was to wide for the toyz alloy gear box so ill keep using it untill the diff strips then ill just expoxy it, and order some parts to replace the dog bones, axels and diff out drives (cups).
 
well my new lois 7.4v 2s 300mah turned up today, ive been getting around 12 mins out of the 7.4v 2s 180mah so i should get some decent runs out of the new battery once it done a few cycles, i was going to buy a 11.1V 3s lipo but its nuts enough on 7.4v lipo,s

im not having much luck with the diff, i stripped the hex where the diff out drives (cups) goes through the outter diff gear, i managed to break it off the epoxied diff and ive glued another one on with stripped teeth, lets see how i go now.
 
a guy from a australian forum has made some parts to lock the diff on the losi micros and has been kind enough to send me a set to try out.

i quick vid of my team losi micro-dt.










for a recap i have installed 10250kv losi brushless set up 13t pinion stock spur gear, threaded axels, bearings, steel dog bones, rpm wide front bumper, spektrum dx3e radio and spektrum sr3500 receiver with the losi 7.4v 2s 300mah lipo, losi medium (red) rear shock springs, the diff has been epoxied cause they keep failing, i could not get much traction in the vid i could not much throttle or it just spins out

Agreed with your thoughts of not going 3S.
2S is nuts.
Imagine a 1/36 going as fast as an FG MT almost!! Supersonic scale speed!!

Everywhere's thawed outside, but where there were snow undulations, there's now MUD !!
Still waiting to blast the 3S MERV !!
